How the full REDLANE Android app handles captured text, reading memory and your saving choices.

REDLANE is operated by Calvin Promotions Sàrl, trading as Calvin Capital. For privacy questions, contact info@calvincapital.ch and identify REDLANE in your message. This notice covers the full Android app.

Accessibility and text recognition

After you accept its saving choices and enable Android Accessibility access, REDLANE shows a movable reading guide and saves text from other apps into Reading and Ambient memory. It reads visible text and its position and may take temporary screenshots to recognize text on your device. Those images are discarded after recognition. Visible content can include sensitive information. Locked devices, Home, REDLANE and specified system or authenticator apps are excluded; other sensitive apps may still be captured. REDLANE uses ML Kit through Google Play services, which can contact Google to download recognition models and updates. ML Kit processes its image/text inputs and recognition results on your device without sending them to Google. It sends performance and usage metrics to Google to maintain, improve and protect the service, under Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Information stored in the app

REDLANE stores selected text, surrounding visible text, raw and normalized reading evidence, source app and window details, available browser addresses and domains, capture times, guide position and recognition metadata. It also stores retrieved article text, reading sessions, Ambient samples and exposure counts, your consent and appearance choices, and local inbox messages and settings. Personal contributions and local assessments are retained where those Pro features have been used. Unsent feedback drafts are kept for editing; navigating away does not submit them.

Automatic article requests

For browser reading, REDLANE automatically contacts the detected website to retrieve article text. It may follow redirects, resolve a more specific article address and render a temporary webpage. The website and resources loaded by its page can receive the requested address, including any query parameters, and ordinary connection information such as an IP address and request information. Retrieved text is stored in the app. These website requests do not require a separate Send action for each article.

Android backup and transfer

Reading memory is stored in the app. Current Android backup settings may include the reading database and preferences in device backup or transfer. The local inbox and Pro database files are excluded by the app's backup rules. Backup and restoration also depend on your device and Android settings. Clearing local history does not establish deletion of an existing backup.

Feedback and purchases

When you choose Send feedback and the form is configured, REDLANE sends your category, subject, message and displayed app version over HTTPS to Web3Forms, which routes the submission to the configured recipient. Reading memory, screenshots, device identifiers and logs are not automatically attached; text you type or paste is included. Web3Forms and the recipient handle the submission and connection information. Pro purchases are not configured in this build; free Memory remains available.

Saving choices and stopping

With Always-on memory enabled, saving can continue at the handle's height while the guide is closed. With Always-on memory off, saving requires the guide to be open. Stop REDLANE in Setup & Help blocks new captures; you can also disable the service in Android accessibility settings. Stopping does not delete saved records, and article retrieval for previously accepted reading evidence may still finish.

Retention and deletion

Reading records, source documents, settings and personal contributions remain in local app storage until removed through a supported app or Android action. Clear saved memory removes reading sessions, raw events, Ambient patterns, Calendar activity and related derived references, but retains cached source documents, personal contributions, appearance settings and recording choices. Android manages local app storage when you clear app data or uninstall; those actions do not establish deletion of backups, submitted feedback, website logs or provider records. For questions about information already sent outside the app, contact the publisher.
